Indications
Recommended for the vaccination of healthy dogs 6 weeks and older to prevent diseases caused by:
- Canine Distemper Virus (CDV)
- Canine Parvovirus (CPV)
- Canine Adenovirus Type 1 (CAV-1) – Canine Hepatitis
- Canine Adenovirus Type 2 (CAV-2)
- Canine Parainfluenza Virus (CPiV)
Dosage & Administration
- Primary Vaccination: Reconstitute the lyophilized vaccine with the supplied sterile water diluent. Inject 1 mL subcutaneously or intramuscularly.
- Revaccination: Administer a second 1 mL dose 2–3 weeks after the first dose for puppies younger than 12 weeks. The last dose should be given at or after 12 weeks of age.
- Annual Booster: Give a single 1 mL dose once a year to maintain immunity.
Storage & Handling
- Store between 2–7°C (35–45°F).
- Use immediately after reconstitution.
- Do not use chemicals to sterilize syringes or needles.
- Dispose of any unused vaccine and containers safely.
Precautions & Side Effects
- Contains gentamicin as a preservative.
- Vaccination of pregnant dogs is generally not recommended.
- Rare reactions may include: lethargy, fever, swelling or pain at injection site, and hypersensitivity reactions.
- In case of adverse reaction, treatment may involve antihistamines, anti-inflammatories, or epinephrine as directed by a veterinarian
